About the Gold Award
The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve. It is defined as a Take Action project that encompasses creating and carrying out a sustainable project, which must address a singular issue. The project as a whole needs to have a global connection. The Gold Award focuses on developing leadership skills as an individual. Previously, it has been known as the Golden Eaglet and First Class.
